There is consolidation of programs and employee roles are evolving, which brings about change, churn and uncertainty in many of our companies and in our roles. We are being asked to do more with less. Employees should be open to new opportunities and say yes, even if it is a bit ambiguous. Tap into your network, focus on your transferable skills and be authentic.
Stacey Milligan discusses getting back to basics as you navigate your career. Remember what you are good at, what have you enjoyed most in your roles and make sure your leadership knows your strengths. Make sure you have a clear plan for your career and your future goals and take advantage of opportunities when they come your way. Don’t be afraid to ask for help in your search. Get a mentor, mentor others, do informational interviews, connect with peers.
